Lieutenant Commander Sheltric Peterson (U.S. Navy, Ret.) is a leadership coach, speaker, educator, and the founder of the Intent To Launch Leadership Institute, where he helps individuals develop the mindset, discipline, and self-leadership needed to reach their full potential. A certified member of the John Maxwell Leadership Team, Sheltric is passionate about equipping people to lead themselves before leading others.

A Houston native, Sheltric's journey began with humble roots, learning the value of hard work, discipline, and responsibility long before beginning a distinguished 30-year career in the United States Navy. Throughout his military service, he supported Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Desert Fox, Southern Watch, the response to the September 11 attacks, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander after serving his final assignment as Senior Weapons Officer for Commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Group.

Following military service, Sheltric has continued his mission of developing leaders through coaching, mentoring, and public speaking. He has inspired students, veterans, educators, business professionals, and community organizations across the country, including engagements with Texas Southern University, Morehouse College, Mitchell College, and numerous school districts throughout Texas.

Together with his wife and high school sweetheart, Montreal, he co-founded Peterseine's Place 19:23, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering teen parents through mentorship, education, and advocacy. His lifelong commitment to service earned him the President's Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his volunteer contributions to communities across America.

Sheltric is also an active member of the Galveston Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where  he continues to mentor future leaders through education and community outreach.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Human Resource Management from Columbia Southern University and a Master of Science in ive Human Resource Management from the University of Houston.

Intent To Launch: The Self-Leadership Blueprint is Sheltric's call to action for anyone ready to stop waiting, take ownership, and intentionally launch into the life they were created to live. His message is simple:           

"The greatest leader you will ever lead is yourself."
